EQUIST WELD - INTELLIGENCE IN STEEL WITH WELDING ADVISOR

The name of EQUIST comes from the words "EQUIvalent STeels", with the key objective of allowing users to identify and cross-reference international steels. The latest version, EQUIST Weld, is now complete with a unique welding advisor, gives an efficient support for welding experts in both steel selection and in the determination of the parameters of the most important arc welding technologies.

Steels can be identified and cross-referenced on the basis of the material designation, country of origin, Werkstoff-number, national standard, composition, technological parameters, or a specified set of mechanical or special properties, corrosion behaviour (more than 75 fields, where these form an integral part of a standard). The program has been constructed from information relating to over 25.400 steels, drawn from the standards of 23 countries, ISO and CEN specifications as well as of special steel producers.

EQUIST WELD - SOLID EDGE PLUG-IN

The EQUIST WELD for Solid Edge plug-in creates the connection between EQUIST WELD and Solid Edge. This integrated software eliminates the need to search for steel data in books, catalogues and type in them one by one while working with Solid Edge. Solid Edge users, who also have EQUIST have been showing interest to save time by using the integrated EQUIST. The release of the plug-in coincides with SACIT’s membership in the SIEMENS PLM Solution Partner programme, which serves the Solid Edge computer-aided design (CAD) user base with access to leading software and hardware applications that offer best-in-class computer-aided design, manufacturing and engineering analysis (CAD/CAM/CAE) solutions.
